American Cancer Society Relay for Life Update
Thanks to everyone who came out to support one of ARC’s Charities at the Relay for Life event on February 21st. Although because of Covid we were not able to hold our annual event in Beardsley Park, our drive-thru at the Foundation did very well. ARC members stepped up by bringing their cars, money for the American Cancer Society, and food for the Valley View Food Bank. The final numbers aren’t in yet, but it looks like ARC raised over $1,700 at the event, with a total just over $5,000. The total day’s contributions were around $4,000, with a grand total for the relay just over $48,000. Although it is down from last year, we are very pleased considering we had to cancel two benefit concerts and a bowling benefit, as well as many raffles. Looking forward to next February when hopefully, we will be able to hold our 10th annual Relay in Beardsley Park, as well as hold our own Car Show in the Johnson parking lot.
