Little Great Race pdf flier
Herb Clark
I wanted to give you as much notice as possible to let you know that on Wednesday, March 25th, we will conduct a mini Great Race for the three teams from SCW who are competing in the Great Race this year. It will start at 10 AM. Cars will need to be in the Beardsley Rec Center Parking lot on the East side by 9:15 AM. The purpose of this Rally/Race is to train drivers and navigators in the area how to compete in this sort of rally.
On Tuesday, March 24th, we will conduct a two hour training session for both the driver and navigator. It is mandatory to attend the training. If you do not attend the training you will have no chance of finding your way around the 4 hour course! This will be a tough course, and require you to focus on the skills you will learn. Have fun! It is just a “Fun” rally, but it will be competitive. The time of the training will be determined in the near future. Each car Must have a driver and a navigator.
The Race/Rally will end at the ARC 3rd Annual Picnic. You MUST have a ticket to the picnic to compete. Awards will be given at the picnic. Many of the prizes will be memorabilia from the actual Great Race. By competing in this event, you will be acquiring the skills required to compete in a Great Race. Also, in 2016 ARC is planning to hold a “Cactus Derby Rally. This would be the best place to learn!
If you want to sign up, you need to let me know ASAP. We are only allowing 30 cars due to the time constraints we have. Do not wait! Get you teams put together and sign up! There is NO CHARGE! You only need a ticket to the picnic.
I will also need volunteers for check points and etc. Please let me know if you can help!
Thanks!
Herb Clark
