A Club Focused on Helping

As a 501(C)(3) charity, ARC members work and have fun support ing
people of all ages and various organizations. Here is a snapshot of our philanthropy…

ARC Angels: They don’t have halos or wings, but ARC members are in SCW to help residents who need them. Although this knowledgeable group does not actually repair residents’ cars, they can offer second opinions on repair estimates, recommend reputable shops, and give out free advice and appraisals.

Contact the Shop if you would like help.

e-Carmony is the match making service for members who need help with a particular project. It puts them together with other members who have the knowledge, skills and special tools needed.

The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life: ARC members form a yearly team in order to raise money for cancer research and for services to cancer patients. The ARC members display their vehicles, obtain donations, and participate in the day’s activities. Many of ARC’s members are survivors or have family and friends who have been affected by this terrible disease. ARC’s goal is to continue to give to cancer research and programs through the Relay for Life so everyone can celebrate more birthdays.

Happy Camp: ARC loves to interact and pass on the love of cars each March with SCW Happy Campers who are visiting their grandparents.

Phoenix Make-A-Wish Foundation: When asked if ARC could make a wish come true for Zane Childress, who has battled cancer since age two, we said yes! Getting to know Zane and watching him receive his 1972 Chevy Cheyenne truck at Barrett-Jackson Auction just in time for his 16th birthday was beyond rewarding. We continue to work with Make-A-Wish.

Student Education: ARC is working with the Dysart School District and consulting with the East Valley Institute of Technology to find ways to share ARC members’ knowledge. With ARC members’ help, Dysart High School restored and drove a car in the 2016 Great Race. ARC also
advises West-MEC in their automotive SkillsUSA.

Student Driving: ARC partners with Hagerty Insurance’s Driving Experience to provide youth an opportunity to learn to drive a stick shift. ARC hopes to expand this partnership with Hagerty’s Operation Ignite!

North County Firefighters: ARC teams up yearly with the North County Firefighters to raise money to support the firefighters’ charitable programs. Some fundraisers together include Christmas in July and car
washes.
